Holidays are coming, List updated, Poor health

Well it is that time of year again. Wow, how time flies. Thanksgiving is almost upon us and Christmas right behind it. Mom will be joining Stu and me here in Orlando in our new house for our first Thanksgiving. We were hoping that JoAnne and Preston would be joining us, but it did not work out that way. I know everyone is going to start the "What do you want for Christmas?" questioning, so I am already on top of that, you can check it out on the website, the lists have been updated.

Gabby and Matt will be driving down on Christmas this year and we will celebrate in the new house before heading out on a week long cruise, our gift from Mom this year. I am pretty excited about this. It will be Stu and Matt's first cruise. I love being at sea, it is so calming, we will see how calm it is once our family hits the decks!!! Bwahahahah!

My health is up and down, a lot more down lately. I did get accepted for insurance finally, so you can all take a breath now. I will be getting a doctor in the next week or so. When I had the nervous breakdown in early September and went to see my childhood doctor, he had me start decreasing my medication in preparation for changing to a new one. I'm now down to the last step and lowest dose. It is rough for me right now. I feel depressed a lot but know that it will be getting better soon. I don't know how well I would be doing if I didn't have one of my dearest friends supporting me all the way. (Thank you, Rickie. *hugs and kisses and kitty whisker tickles*) I don't know if it is due to the change in medicine, but my cysts have been really bad lately. I look forward to getting that taken care of and moving on with my life.

Anyway, I'm about to go eat something, just wanted to check in. I love being able to just post to the blog instead of all the crap with the website!!! We'll see if anyone actually reads this. Hehehe. It may become more of a diary for me than a blog if no one reads it.

Oh, I got a new hard drive on my computer a few months ago and didn't think to sync my Palm. Then the battery on my Palm died and wiped the memory on the damn thing. So, I lost everything, all phone numbers, addresses, birthdays, etc, so, if you could help me out by sending me that stuff, I would greatly appreciate it. Considering I only have Mom, Gab and Rickie in it, I have a way to go to fill it back up.

Love you all.

Welcome to the blog

Hello everyone who follows my website and those who have just found me!

I am usually really bad at updating my website for one key reason: transferring the welcome message into the archive. I think this will solve that problem!! I'm always adding stuff to the website but have always used the welcome message to talk about what is going on in my life. I think a blog is the perfect solution to that problem. So, welcome to the blog of Just A Little Off Kilter!

The blog is not the only thing new in my life. I will give you an update that normally would be on the welcome page of the website. Since that hasn't been updated since February, I guess I owe you some catching up.

Most of you should already know, back in March, Stuart and I bought a house. Yes, we are now homeowners. We love it so far, even with all the headaches it brings. We kinda resodded the yard. One day it will look like a lawn, I know it will. I would still love to have a fence around the back yard for the dogs.

Ok, my health... it is not the greatest, but I'm moving forward. I am waiting to hear from the insurance company and hopefully this time will get accepted. I did have a complete nervous breakdown in September and never want to revisit that dark place I was in. Just the thought of the feelings I had makes me sick.

I have rediscovered Second Life. It has become an obsession. I have made some very good friends though who have supported me and shown me great love. I don't know where I would be without them. I would be completely lost without Rickie. We have had our ups and downs, but the friendship grew stronger and stronger each day. I love that guy to death! =^.^= I'm his little Neko Kitty. I also love Danny and "Galen" who have really helped me through some tough times. I can't forget Amanda, who I actually corrupted with Second Life. I've known her for a couple years now from roleplaying on myspace in the Harry Potter Universe.

I do still roleplay from time to time. The friends that I made roleplaying are very special to me, I could never let go of that completely. Just with all that has gone on in my life the past six months, I have not had the spark that I once had in my roleplay.

You can still find me on myspace and now on facebook. I also have a blog for my second life character, Neville. You can find all those links on my website.

Hmm, what else is new? Gabby and Matt are back together. Amy and Harry had their second son, Isaac. Gabby just opened a new store for Platypus. What is still the same? The pets are fine. Mom still enjoys her job. Stu still travels. I still sit at home on the computer.

This year we will be spending the holidays on a cruise. Yes, that is Mom's gift to us this year. Christmas itself will be spent here at my new house. I, of course, will be celebrating Yule as well.

Well, I guess that is all for now. The cool thing about this is I can add a new post whenever I want instead of going through all the trouble of updating the website... woohoo!

Hugs and Kisses,
Courtney
